Today, most scientists agree that there are five kingdoms: plants, animals, monerans (like bacteria), protists (like amoebas), and fungi (like molds). Monerans and protists are single-celled organisms, so we know our mystery skeleton doesn’t fit into those kingdoms. Our biggest clue is that our mystery organism has bones.
