Today we are at NIH (National Institute of Health). It is really cold outside. Team Black (Black Attack!) has our break and has made team names! Lindsey=L squared, Theo=TJ, Radhika=R 'n' R, Manpreet=MM, Mikael=M-Unit, Tsharre=TNT! We know we are ready for the challenges so BRING IT ON!!! M-Unit likes calling Theo T.J.I Friday and Radhika Mrs. Bulgaria. R 'n' R is thoroughly exasperated with his efforts. Radhika uses big words. Me no understand (by MM). Judge Jake just walked into the room. We just got done with our TV interviews, and they were AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) (R 'n' R and TJ) Team 5 had the first TV interviews of the day because we are the BESTEST team ever!!!!(MM :)) TEAM 5 IS GOING HOME WITH ALL THE PRIZES (INCLUDING THE SPECIAL ONES) SO... STEP UP YOUR GAME, 'CAUSE BLACK IS ABOUT TO ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!( R 'n' R, TJ, MM, L squared, and M-unit). :P
i like pie from m - unit :P

Today we woke up very early. On the bus ride to NIH (the National Institutes of
Health), we gave everyone nicknames:

Joel - JJ
Jacob - pi
Michael - empty
Mackensie - soda
Paige - teepee

After going through security and listening to an address by scientists, we presented our Whelmers. Joel experimented with static electricity, Jacob made slime, Michael taught about density, Mackensie made a rod sing, and Paige demonstrated mechanical resonance.

We also did two HUGE whelmers. One was making "elephant snot," which was five gallons of slime! It didn't work that well, and the table leaked. We also rode a Nimbus 2000, except sometimes the battery fell out and hit people.

We still have a few more challenges left today, and the next one begins in just three minutes. Got to go!

On Saturday, most of the team arrived in Washington D.C. Aarthi walked to the White House and saw other monuments while the other team members checked in. I, Aarthi, really enjoyed touring the city. We all met at orientation. On Sunday, we presented at the Smithsonian which was a great experience and we took a fascinating tour. Talking to the judges and the other finalists was a blast. Later that night we got to know the team through exciting and fun team building activities. Today we started the science challenges. We worked pretty well together but still have room for improvement. We are really thrilled to start the next challenge.

Hello everyone,
Well, here's a summary of what we did today, and yesterday. We showed our projects in the Smithsonian museum of natural history and then took a tour of the place. We saw a bunch of dead bird skins that were filled with stuffing. We also had root beer with this guy named Jake and that was fun. Some people came fromm this outdoor game thing (I don't really know who they were)and we drew circles and played baseball blindfolded. We ate cake too. Today we looked for mold in the national Institute of Health (NIH) and saved joe plastic from bird flu. Now at...1:53 PM on Washington DC time we are waiting in a room
doing...nothing really. Now its 1:57. Look at another person's thing for details i've already forgotten most of them. Well bye

Salutations and greetings, everyone! (Or, if Jimmy is reading this, seasoning's greetings [with extra paprika]).

We've been having a really great time today here at the National Institute of Health, doing the science challenges. So far, we, the Red Team, have been at the Avian Flu challenge, and the Mold challenge. The Bird flu one was especially fun, but the Mold challenge people gave us LIVEGREEN wristbands. So I liked them too. But the Bird Flu was more fun. Erin and I got to take care of Joe Plastic.

After the Mold challenge, we had lunch. (Does anyone else find the scheduling of this a little bit... strange?) We've had a good time killing time by being random, blogging, etc, and now we have about an hour of time to kill before we do some more challenges. Right now we're playing the "this reminds me" game.
Example:...nevermind. This game is just too strange to record...

My team is very interesting. Our catch phrase is simple: "Our work speaks for
itself." Ha, ha ha. In fact, here's a little bit about each team member:

Erin-- Smart. Nice. Pleasant to be around. What can I say? She's... perfect.
*feels inferior* :D

David-- Makes me laugh. A lot. He's good at using big words and talking to
judges. Also good at making things up on the spur of the moment. Example: "So,
what would the penalties be if someone violates quarantine?" "SEVERE."

Trevor-- He's nice and funny. Except I think he might be a pyromaniac. Oh
well--a lot of scientists are. Anyway, he likes Relient K. Enough said.

Jack-- He's a nice guy too. And he's really great at the challenges-- the TV
people keep filming him whenever he says... anything. Anyway, he's nice.

He's reading this over my shoulder, methinks. Well. I can't think of anything else to say...

I suppose that's all I really have to say ... I'll probably have a lot more to say later. Goodbye, all! *waves happily*

hey all...wuts up...i got nothing to say..............thats why i'm writing....yea...go figure...anyway, my crazy friend, david, is crazy....thus why i called him crazy in the first place...he doesn't like mold...neither do i, it smells funny, and is hard to see...but the avian flu is crazy, yo...anyway,
we did a sweet science challenge, and we got to research about flu...avian flu...........anyway, david was being interviewed, and we realized the best way to keep the people of Anytown, USA, was too keep them inside, and away from their family and friends...near the end, he was asked what would happen if anyone ignored the rule...his answer was..."SEVERE"...it was funny...anyway...we
figured about 13 people would die, out of 10,000, that was at 60% complience, i have a date w/ a radio interviewer....peace...

yo, this is david, trevor's "crazy friend". 'sup ppl. neway, trevor asked me to finish his entry 4 him, so, here'z what i have to say:

trevor's being interviewed rite now, and i'm just taking up space on his entry. yeah, and i corrected all the grammar and stuff and it still sounds weird... but
i kept in the stuff about me being crazy because i'm a trustworthy friend and
all that stuff, w/e...

yo there's still more space, so now my other friend jack's gonna do a little number 4 u guys:

well...hi....and....hi..........................................................
...........................................................................\

yea i'm david and i'm cutting off jack now because he's just typing .................. over and over again... :P

so yea, neway, now i'm typing on a Discovery Channel info-mercial... gotta remember to say:

AT DK, instead of on DK, w/e idc i'll just do it...kinda like that thing they made us do on the steps of the Smithsonian. that was brutal and sadistic...
*sigh* still 900+ characters to fill up while trevor's gone...

Jack again... there's a bunch of reportere people behind us now talking to david abnout high school or something like that. There still just standing back there
with a camera. sigh...869 characers. Ohh and just in case you didn't knos (i didn't) w/e means what ever in Davids wrighting no we.......

yea it means that in my writing (fyi this is david again). The ppl said that the first practice thing we did was just for practice but i heard them talking and they actually got it on tape and they're probably taping us RIGHT NOW). i wonder
if they can see what i'm typing, they probably can... mfg they got a new battery and now they're filming again probably...

neway
<3,
trevor

PS my blog's a part of a promotional clip now! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
