Small DesktopReady to organize your desktop? I often use a customized desktop background to categorize my desktop icons.

I have created one to share with you! Give it a try and let me know how you like it!


Saving the desktop on a Windows 95/98/2000 machine

  1. Click on the correct size desktop bitmap for your monitor's resolution.
  2. Save the bitmap to theWindowsdirectory on your computer.
  3. Go toControl Panel,Display,Background
  4. You will see theSchrock Desktopimage on the list.
  5. Choose it and click "OK"
  6. Move your icons around into the appropriate spaces and enjoy!

Saving the desktop on a Macintosh machine (OS 8.0/8.1)
  1. Save the graphic corresponding to your screen resolution on your desktop.
  2. Find theDesktop Picturesfolder and place the graphic there.
  3. Go to theDesktop Pictures Control Panel.(Apple Menu--> Control Panels-->Desktop Pictures)
  4. Click thePicturebutton then clickSelect Picture. Navigate to theDesktop Picturesfolder.
  5. After you select the picture, click theSet Desktopin theDesktop Pictures Control Panel.
  6. For OS 8.5+, the desktop pictures are stored in theAppearance Folderin theSystem Folder.
