Great barracudas feed mostly on small and medium-size reef fish like anchovies, jacks, gruntfish, and pufferfish. But they're not picky eaters. If a fish is edible, a barracuda will gladly eat it. Barracudas have a special hinge on their upper jaw that lets them open their mouths very wide. And, of course, they have super sharp teeth. A large barracuda can cut a parrotfish into two pieces with a single bite.   Close window
