image Product Overview
After sign-in, kids are taken to a beautiful holiday main screen complete with a crackling fire, a decorated Christmas tree -- and the adorable Fisher Price Little People! All of the program's 4 activities are accessible from this screen, and are as follows:
  • Decorate a Christmas Tree involves selecting a type of tree and tree skirt, then decorating it with the fun clip art choices given.
  • In Build a Snowperson, kids use a mittens cursor to "sculpt" a snowperson (or snow animal!) then they drag stickers to create a face, add clothes, and include props.
  • Christmas Carol Sing-Along includes Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, Up on the Housetop, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, and The 12 Days of Christmas.
  • Christmas Crafts allows kids to design and print their own cards, ornaments, pictures, gift tags, and wrapping paper. Kids select from a number of templates (including a Make Your Own one), then decorate them with stickers and text.

Three of the activities are very similar in format, requiring children to place stamps of objects onto templates. As with most Fisher Price software, the selection of colorful (and often silly) stamps is vast.

Kid testers found the program attractive, but be aware of its limitations. This title doesn't have a lot of replay value, and is probably best for younger children aged 2 and 3 because of its one-track focus. Chances are, however, that you already know this and simply would like a software that helps to celebrate the holiday. If this is the case, this title will do just that, for a little while, at least.

Technically Speaking
Minimum requirements are Windows 3.1, a 486/66, 16 Mb RAM, and 4X CD ROM. Mac users require a Power PC with 16 Mb RAM, System 7.5.1 or higher, and at least 4X CD ROM.

Skills Covered
creativity, music.

Educational Value
This title is not meant to be educational.

Entertainment Value
At the outset, kids will be attracted to this festive and colorful title. The stickers in the decorating activities are fun and often goofy -- kids love them.

Design
Young players should have few problems finding the activities in this program. The game is very straightforward to play.

Replayability
Because of its seasonal theme and somewhat limited content, this title doesn't score high in replayability.

Dollar Value
Because this title is not current, pricing should be low.
