Baby Songs is a video series aimed at babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. This Christmas edition features holiday sing-alongs with live-action scenes of children and puppets enjoying the season's celebrations.
All of the Baby Songs videos are totally mesmerizing for young kids. But they go beyond mesmerizing they are interactive. The Baby Songs series is superb.
This video is 28 minutes long and is live-action featuring real children and puppets, as well as short animations in between the song videos. Baby Songs Christmas differs from the other Baby Songs videos we have reviewed at The Review Corner Baby Songs: ABC, 123, Colors, and Shapes (see our review), and Baby Songs Baby's Busy Day (see our review) in that the songs are not all sung by Hap Palmer. This was somewhat disappointing, as we have found his songs to be almost magical, but the songs featured on this video are nonetheless fun and relaxing. In The Twelve Days of Christmas, kids watch as a teacher tries to organize a school play based on the song, with some often humorous results. Children riding toboggans, making a snowman, riding horses, and more are featured in the upbeat Jingle Bell Rock. We Wish You a Merry Christmas features real kids decorating a tree and eating Christmas cookies, interspersed with singing and dancing Christmas ornaments and gingerbread cookies!
Kid testers were feeling the spirit of Christmas and humming such favorites as Deck the Halls and Up on the Rooftop hours later.
