Jessica Harper - Rhythm in My Shoes (Audio CD) Product Overview
Entirely fun and lively, Jessica Harper delivers a delightful collection of original children's songs in her inimitable style. Combining rhymes, chants, fun wordplays, and rap, her "story-songs" are filled with imagination.

In "Six Licorice Stix", there is a whimsical back-and-forth between the singer and some children who want a seventh licorice stick ("your teeth will fall on the floor", protests the singer). "Love in Your Pocket" is a heart-warming song that reminds kids how loved they are. "A Crazy Machine" is a flight of fancy — it tells the story of a magical birthday present that does all sorts of amazing things — like making broccoli and limas disappear, scaring away the ghosts on Hallowe'en, and even cleaning the house! "This Happy House" celebrates friends, happiness, and having fun. "Rhythm in Her Shoe" (the title song — almost) is catchy, and kids will love the nonsense of "Too Much Snow in Tokyo". In fact, all 13 tracks are excellent!

With the latest research on the importance of music and rhymes on the development of young children's brains, you can think of this CD as a form of "brain food" that is sure to be well-received by your little ones.
