  • Discuss the ways in which the Vikings used their advancements in shipbuilding and navigation for both peaceful and aggressive purposes.
  • Compare the Vikings with other cultures that have used technological superiority to dominate others.
Suggested activity
Sketch these Viking ships: longship, knorr, fishing boat. Write a descriptive paragraph for each one. Include features that show the Vikings' advanced shipbuilding techniques.
