Annette Olsson
Conservation Biologist & Field Manager

Annette Olsson is a wildlife biologist for Conservation International’s Indo-Burma Program based in Cambodia. She develops and co-ordinates fieldwork programs in Cambodia, Myanmar and Vietnam, with a special focus on small and medium-sized mammals. Annette also manages the research components of the program, building the capacity of young national scientists. She also is involved with project planning and fund-raising for the CI Indo-Burma Program.

Career Path: Annette earned her bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from the University of Roskilde in Denmark and her master’s in zoology at the University of Copenhagen. She enjoys all aspects of her work, from detailed note-taking to trekking in the field looking for wildlife to sorting it all out in the office. Someday, Annette hopes to study one of Southeast Asia’s least known species: the hairy nosed otter.
