The Smart Spot Program from PepsiCo promotes healthy lifestyles through a variety of activities including the introduction of energy balance plans in schools nationwide, the launch of a free magazine entitled Everyday SMART MovesTM, the construction of 12 KABOOM! playgrounds across the country, and the promotion of five S.M.A.R.T. simple steps that encourage active living and good nutritional choices.

The MyPyramid DVD is designed to help students understand and follow the food guide pyramid developed by the United States Department of Agriculture. It stresses balanced nutrition choices and regular physical activity for all ages, and helps students learn how to make smart choices from every food group.
The President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports is a presidential advisory committee that serves as a catalyst to promote health, physical activity, fitness, sports, and enjoyment for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. In 2005, more than five million young people received Presidential recognition for meeting fitness goals. This year, Balance First is proud to join the Council in celebrating its 50th anniversary.
